Unable to Send Messages to New LISTSERV List

Question:

When I try to send a message to my new class list, I get a message back from LISTSERV with "Rejected" in the subject line. How can I send email messages to my class list?

Answer:

There are two possible causes for this problem.

The list was just created and is still inactive. Wait one hour after you get your confirmation email message for the list to become active.
Your reply-to email address is set to the wrong email address. Set your reply-to email address to [Your PID]@vt.edu

Note: Replace [Your PID] with your PID.
