Disabling Hyperlink Feature in Word for Windows

How do I disable the hyperlink feature in Word for Windows?
Answer:
There are two options for disabling the hyperlink feature in Word.
  • To disable the hyperlink feature permanently:
    1. View the options.
      • In 2007, click the Office button, and at the bottom of the drop-down list, click the Word Options button.
      • In 2010 / 2013, under the File tab, select Options.
    2. In the left column, select Proofing.
    3. Click the AutoCorrect Options... button.
    4. Select the AutoFormat tab.
    5. Clear the Internet and network paths with hyperlinks check box.
    6. Select the AutoFormat As You Type tab.
    7. Clear the Internet and network paths with hyperlinks check box.
    8. Click OK.
    9. Click OK.
  • To remove all hyperlinks from text you have already typed:
    1. Highlight all of the text in the document.
    2. On the keyboard, press the Ctrl+Shift+F9 keys.
