Recovering Unsaved Document in Word for Windows

Question:
My computer crashed while I was working on a Word document in Windows. I did not save the file. How can I recover it?
Answer:

Word may have automatically saved your file.

When you start Word the next time, if any AutoRecover files were found, results will be displayed in the Document Recovery pane. For more information and instructions on viewing the recovered documents, see the Method 3: Search for AutoRecover files section of Microsoft's How to recover a lost Word document Web page.

In the future, remember to save your documents frequently to avoid loss of data.
