When I try to print a document in Windows XP/Vista/7, I am prompted to save a file. My printer does nothing. How can I print the document?

Answer:

If you have this problem in Adobe Acrobat, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Word or other applications, disable printing to file. To do this:

  1. Open the document you want to print.
  2. From the File menu, select Print....
  3. Clear the Print to file check box.
  4. Click OK.
