"Unable to Write to the Printer" Error Message and Printer Will Not Print in Windows

Question:
When I try to print in Windows, I receive the "Unable to Write to the Printer" error message, and my printer will not print. How do I fix this?
Answer:

Note: You may need the CD or disks that came with your printer to complete these instructions.

To resolve the error:
  1. Check your printer cables.
    1. Turn off your computer and printer.
    2. Disconnect your printer from your computer.
    3. Reconnect your printer to your computer.
    4. Turn on your printer.
    5. Turn on your computer.
    6. Print a test page.

  3. If your printer still does not work, contact your printer's manufacturer for assistance.
