Moving Programs from One Hard Drive to Another Hard Drive in Windows or Mac OS X

Question:
One of my hard drives is full. How do I move some of my programs to another hard drive in Windows or Mac OS X?
Answer:

Important: Do not drag programs from one hard drive to another. This can cause problems and may prevent the programs from running.

For each program you want to move:

  1. Uninstall the program. For instructions, refer to:
  2. Install the program on the other hard drive. Follow the installation instructions included with each program.
