- How do I update to a new VT-Wireless certificate and delete my old certificate in Mac OS X v10.5?
- Answer:
- In order to keep using the VT-Wireless wireless network after your certificate expires, you must delete your old certificate and update to a new certificate.
- To delete your old certificate:
- In Finder, on the Menu bar, click Go.
- Select Utilities.
- Double-click on Keychain Access.
- On the left under Keychains, select login.
- Under Name, locate the following certificates:
Note: Some of these may not appear in your Name list. Continue on with the steps for any and all of the following certificates that do appear.
- Delete each of the certificates listed above:
- Click on the name of the certificate.
- On the Menu bar, click Edit.
- Select Delete.
- On the left under Keychains, select System.
- Under Name, if it appears, delete the Research and Development Root CA as described in step F.
- Close the Keychain Access window.
- From the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
- Under Internet & Network, click on Network.
- Select Airport.
- Click on the Advanced... button.
- Select the 802.1x tab.
- Click on the arrow beside User Profiles to open the list.
- Select and click on the minus (-) button to delete any and all profiles listed.
- Click OK.
- In the Network window, click Apply.
- Click on the Advanced... button.
- Select the Airport tab.
- In the Preferred Networks: list, under Network Name, select VT-Wireless.
- Click on the minus button (-) to delete VT-Wireless from the list.
- Remove the check from the Remember any network this computer has joined check box.
- Click OK.
- Click Apply.
