To connect to the VT-Wireless wireless network using a personal network access certificate, the following are required:

• A valid Virginia Tech PID and password.
• An active wireless service registration. Virginia Tech students can register for service using COLA (https://cola.cns.vt.edu/servlets/logon). Faculty and staff should contact their departmental communications liaison to register for this service.

To connect an iPhone to the VT-Wireless wireless network:

1.  Download a certificate from http://netcert.cns.vt.edu/ to your computer.
     Note: Remember where on your computer you download it so that you can locate it for the next step.
2.  E-mail the certificate to yourself.
3.  Using your iPhone, retrieve the message with the cerficiate attached.
4.  Tap on the attached certificate in the e-mail message.
5.  Tap on the Install button.
6.  Tap Install Now.
7.  Enter your certificate password.
8.  Tap Next.
9.  Tap Done.
10.  Exit Mail.
11.  Open Settings.
12.  Tap Wi-Fi.
12.  Tap Done.
13.  Tap VT-Wireless.
14.  Leave Username and Password blank.
15.  Change the mode to EAP-TLS.
16.  Tap the Password button.
17.  Tap Join.
18.  Accept the mantid.cns.vt.edu Thawte Premium Server CA
