How do I configure ActiveSync for Windows mobile devices to connect to the Virginia Tech Exchange server?
Answer:
1. From the Home screen, press Start.
2. Scroll to Programs.
3. Select ActiveSync.
4. Select Menu.
5. Select Configure Server.
6. In the Server address text box, enter weboutlook.vt.edu
7. Place a check in the This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection check box.
8. Select Next.
9. Enter your Hokies ID and Hokies password.
10. When asked for a domain, enter hokies.
11. If you want your phone to save your password, place a check in the Save password check box.
12. Select Next.
13. Place checks in or remove checks from the boxes corresponding to the types of information that you want to synchronize with the Exchange server.
14. Select Finish.
15. To change how often and when you want to synchronize, select Menu and select Schedule.
16. Select OK.
