How do I disable the Auto-Protect feature in Symantec Endpoint Protection for Mac OS X?
Answer:
  1. In the top menu bar, click the Symantec QuickMenu icon.
  2. From the drop-down list, select Symantec Endpoint Protection.
  3. From the drop-down list, select Disable Auto-Protect.
  4. In the Name: text box, type the name of an account on your computer that holds administrator privileges.
  5. In the Password: text box, type the password for the administrative account.
  6. Click OK.
