How do I configure Entourage 2004/2008 to connect to the Virginia Tech Exchange server?

Answer:
  1. Start Entourage.
  2. Add a new Exchange account.
    • In Entourage 2004:
      1. From the Tools drop-down list, select Accounts.
      2. Select the Exchange tab.
      3. Click the New icon.
      4. Click the Configure account manually button.
    • In Entourage 2008:
      1. From the Tools drop-down list, select Accounts....
      2. Click the New icon.
      3. Choose to configure the account manually.
        • If the Account Setup Assistant window appears, click the Configure Account Manually button.
        • If the New Account window appears:
          1. From the Account type: drop-down list, select Exchange.
          2. Click OK.
  3. In the Account name: text box, type: VT Exchange
  4. In the Name: text box, type your name as you want it to appear on emails you send.
  5. In the E-mail address: text box, type: [Your Hokies ID]@exchange.vt.edu

    Note: Replace [Your Hokies ID] with your Hokies ID.

  6. In the Account ID: text box, type: HOKIES\[Your Hokies ID]

    Note: Replace [Your Hokies ID] with your Hokies ID.

  7. In the Exchange server: text box, type: weboutlook.vt.edu
  8. Place a check in the This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL) check box.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Close the Accounts window.
