- From the Tools menu, select Accounts.
- Select the Directory Service tab.
- Click the New button.
Note: The Account Setup Assistant may open. If so, click the Configure account manually button.
- In the Account name: text box, type: Virginia Tech LDAP
- In the LDAP server: text box, type: directory.vt.edu
- Select the Options tab.
- In the Search base: text box, type: ou=people,dc=vt,dc=edu
- Click OK.
- Close the Accounts window.
