How can I verify that my computer belongs to a domain within Hokies in Windows XP/Vista?
Answer:

To verify whether or not your computer belongs to the Hokies domain:
  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Right-click Computer:
    • In Windows XP, right-click My Computer.
    • In Windows Vista, right-click Computer.
  3. From the drop-down list, select Properties.

    Note: In Windows XP, select the Computer Name tab.

  4. To the right of Domain:, if the domain listed contains w2k.vt.edu in the name, your computer belongs to a domain within Hokies.

    Example: If your computer belongs to the AIS domain, your domain will be ais.w2k.vt.edu.
