Closing the browser window or changing the URL from which Web forms are launched will cause the JInitiator applet to close. In Internet Explorer 7/8/9, disable the option for reusing windows for launching shortcuts. To do this:

1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. View Internet Options.
   • In Internet Explorer 7/8, from the Tools drop-down list, select Internet Options.
   • In Internet Explorer 9:
     1. In the upper-right corner of the window, click the Tools icon.
     2. From the drop-down list, select Internet options.
3. Select the Advanced tab.
4. Under Browsing, clear the Reuse windows for launching shortcuts (when tabbed browsing is off) check box.
5. Click OK.
