Notes:

  1. Download Spybot Search & Destroy.
    1. Go to the Spybot Search & Destroy Web site (http://www.safer-networking.org).
    2. From the Please Choose Your Language menu, click on the American Flag for English.
    3. From the navigation box on the left, select Download.
    4. Next to Spybot--Search and Destroy 1.6.2 click Download.
    5. Select which mirror download site from which you want to download.
    6. To download the software, follow the directions on the download server you selected.
    7. Save the file to your desktop.
  2. Install Spybot Search & Destroy.
    1. On your desktop, double-click the spybotsd162 icon.

      Note: If a window Open File-Security Warning pops up, click the Run button.

    2. In Vista, click the Continue button.
    3. From the Select the language to use during the installation: drop-down menu, select the language you want to use.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click Next.
    6. Read the license agreement, and select the I Accept the Agreement radio button.
    7. Click Next.
    8. In the Select Destination Location window, click Next.
    9. In the Select Components window, click Next.
    10. In the Select Start Menu Folder window, click Next.
    11. In the Select Additional Tasks window, click Next.
    12. Click Install.
    13. Click Finish.
