How do I download and configure Goliath to connect to a filebox in Mac OS X v10.2/10.3/10.4?
Answer:
  1. Go to WebDAV's Goliath Page (http://www.webdav.org/goliath/).
  2. Click the Download link.
  3. Under Mac OS X, click the Here link.
  4. On your desktop, double-click the Goliath 1.0.1 icon.
  5. Drag the Goliath folder to the Applications folder on your hard drive.
  6. Double-click the Applications folder.
  7. Double-click the Goliath 1.0.1 folder.
  8. Double-click the Goliath 1.0.1 icon.
  9. Close the Applications window.
  10. If the New WebDAV Connection window opens, click Cancel.
  11. From the Goliath menu, select Preferences.
  12. Select the Lock Information tab.
  13. In the Please Enter in a URL... text box, type your PID.

    Note: If you are a non-Virginia Tech affiliate, type the User ID that the owner of the filebox assigned to you.

  14. Click OK.
  15. From the File menu, select New Connection.
  16. In the URL text box, type: https://dav.filebox.vt.edu/users/[PID]

    Note: Replace [PID] with your Virginia Tech PID, or the PID of the person to whose filebox you want to connect.

  17. In the User Name text box, type your PID.

    Note: If you are a non-Virginia Tech affiliate, type the User ID that the owner of the filebox assigned to you.

  18. In the Password text box, type your PID password.

    Note: If you are a non-Virginia Tech affiliate, type the password that the owner of the filebox assigned to you.

  19. Click the Triangle to the left of Advanced Settings.
  20. Place a check in the Disable Encoding of Macintosh Resources check box.
  21. Click OK.

Files and folders function in the same manner in Goliath as they do on your hard drive. To upload or download files and folders to or from the filebox, drag them from one folder to another.
