Notes:
- Important: Running a firewall on your computer, such as Norton Internet Security or Zone Alarm Pro/Integrity Desktop, may prevent you from using WebDrive. If this is the case, you need to configure the firewall program to allow you to use WebDrive.

- Click on the Start button.
- In Windows XP: click on Programs.
- In Windows Vista: select All Programs.
- Click on WebDrive.
- Click on the New Site button.
- In the Enter the name for the site you will be connecting to text box, type: Filebox
- Click Next.
- From the Server Type drop-down list, select WebDAV.
- Click Next.
- In the Enter the URL for the server text box, type: https://dav.filebox.vt.edu/users/[Your PID]/
Note: Replace [Your PID] with your PID.
- Click Next.
- From the Drive drop-down list, select a drive letter that is not in use on your computer.
- Click Next.
- In the Username: text box, type your PID.
- In the Password: text box, type your password.
- Click Next.
- Click on Finish.
- Go to the WebDrive logon window.
- If you have a permanent Internet connection, such as Ethernet, DSL, or cable modem, place a check in the Connect at login/startup check box.
- Clear the Anonymous/Public Logon check box.
- Clear the Save Password check box.
Important: Clearing the Save Password check box means you will be prompted to enter your password when logging on to WebDrive. This is recommended for security reasons.
- Click the Properties button.
- Select the Cache tab.
- In the Cache Settings drop-down menu, select Override global settings.
- Under Cache, click on Options.
- Select the Custom radio button.
- Clear the Cache Files check box.
- Place a check in the Expire files after (X) seconds check box.
- In the text box, type: 3.
- Clear the Cache Directory Listings check box.
- Place a check in the Expire directory listing after (X) seconds check box.
- In the text box, type: 3.
- Click OK.
- Click the Connect button. A logon window will appear.
- In the Password text box, type your PID password.
- Click OK.
- To disable your Filebox connection: :
- On the system tray, right-click the WebDrive icon.
- Select your Filebox connection.
- Select Disconnect.
Files and folders function in the same manner in WebDrive as they do on your hard drive. To upload or download files and folders to or from your filebox, drag them from one folder to another.
