- Answer:
WebDrive is available as a download through Information Technology Acquisitions (ITA) for current Virginia Tech faculty, staff, and students.
Important:If you live off campus and would like to download Webdrive, you must first register for a VPN account. Information about this can be found by reading the
Configuring a VPN Page article
(http://answers.vt.edu/kb/entry/2304/). However, instead of Webdrive, you can use Web folders that is included in Windows. For more information, please see the using
Web Foldersarticle
(http://answers.vt.edu/kb/entry/2796/).
- Go to the Network Software page (https://www.ita.vt.edu/Apps/WebObjects/NetSoftware).
- Log on with your PID and password.
- Click the WebDrive 7.22 for Windows download (Vista compatible) link.
- Place a check in the Yes, I Agree check box.
- Click the Accept Agreement button.
- Click the Download WebDrive 7.22 for Windows download (Vista compatible) - webdrive722.exe link.
- Save the download to your desktop.
- On your desktop, double-click the webdrive722.exe icon.
- Click Next.
- After reading the license agreement, click Next.
- Click Next.
Note: If you have Integrity Desktop installed, you will receive the message "The install program has detected that you have Zone Alarm installed."
- Click OK.
