Viewing Mailbox Size of Exchange Account with Outlook 2003/2007

Question:
How can I view my Exchange mailbox size in Outlook 2003/2007?
Answer:
  1. Open your Outlook Today Properties:
    • In Outlook 2003: Right-click Outlook Today, and select Properties for "[Folder Name]".

      Note: Replace [Folder Name] with the name of the folder.

    • In Outlook 2007: Right-click on the folder you want to view, then click on the Properties for that folder.
  2. Click the Folder Size button.
  3. A new window, Folder Size... will open.
  4. Locate the Total Size (Including Subfolders) calculation located on the third line from the top.

    Note: If the total size is greater than 40,000 KB (40 MB), please consider archiving your folders.For information about archiving, refer to Exchange Mailbox Management (http://www.computing.vt.edu/email_and_calendaring/exchange/mailboxmanagement.html).

  5. Click Close.
  6. Click OK.
