Missing Send/Receive Button in Outlook 2007/2010

Question:
My Send/Receive button is missing in Outlook 2007/2010. What is wrong and how do I fix this?
Answer:
The Send/Receive button is missing for one of the following reasons.
  • You have not configured an email account in Outlook. For instructions, refer to the appropriate link below:
    • For instructions to configure Outlook to check your VT Google Apps Mail account, refer to the VT Google Apps Mail page.
    • For instructions to configure Outlook to check your Exchange account, refer to the Exchange page.
  • You accidentally deleted the Send/Receive button from your toolbar. To reset the toolbar:
    1. Start Outlook.
      • In 2007:
        1. From the Tools drop-down list, select Customize....
        2. Select the Toolbars tab.
        3. From the Toolbars: list, select Standard.
      • In 2010:
        1. Select the File tab.
        2. In the left menu column, select Options.
        3. In the left menu column, select Quick Access Toolbar.
    2. Click the Reset button.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Click the Close button.
