- How do I get personal space on the Virginia Tech Network-Attached Storage (NAS) in Windows 2000/XP, Mac OS X, or Linux?
- Answer:
- Log on to Hokies Self-Service (http://selfservice.w2k.vt.edu/) with your Hokies ID and password.
Notes: - You will experience a brief redirect when you click on the Hokies Self-Service link.
- For more information about Hokies accounts, refer to the Hokies ID page (http://www.computing.vt.edu/accounts_and_access/hokies_id/index.html).
- Select the My Storage tab.
Note: The following are options are extra features for Windows and are not essential to creating your space. You may select one of the following options if you want:
- Click the Create Space button.
- Click the Accept button.
Notes:- Your space will be available immediately, unless you have set up a roaming profile or set NAS as your Home Directory. If you have chosen either of those options:
- Wait 15 minutes.
- Log off your computer.
- Log on to your computer with your Hokies ID and password.
