Important: Current Eudora versions for the Mac OS do not support LDAP version 3, a required component for connecting to the VT LDAP server. To configure the Eudora Finger Client to search the Virginia Tech directory:
- From the Special menu, select Settings.
- From the list on the left, select Hosts.
- In the Finger Server: text box, type: finger.vt.edu
- Click OK.
- To search the online directory:
- From the Window menu, select Directory Services.
- In the Enter Query text box, type the name of the person you want to find.
- Click the Finger button.
Notes:- If your search does not return any results, try typing only the person's last name.
- If your search continues to return no results, the person's information may be suppressed from public view.
- Using Virginia Tech"s People Search can verify that a person"s information has been suppressed.
