Important: Before you can add an Exchange server profile in Outlook 2007, you must have an Exchange account. For more information, refer to the
Exchange page
(https://computing.vt.edu/content/exchange-0).
To add an Exchange profile:
- Ensure that Outlook is closed.
- Click the Start button.
- Select Control Panel.
- Go to User Accounts.
- In XP/Vista, click the User Accounts link.
- In 7, click the User Accounts and Family Safety link.
- Click the Mail link
- Click the Email Accounts... button.
- Click the New... button.
- Select the Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP radio button.
Note: If you have no previous Outlook accounts, skip to step 10.
- Click Next.
- In the Your Name: text box, type your name as you want it to appear on messages you send.
- In the Email Address: text box, type: [Your Hokies ID]@exchange.vt.edu
- In the Password: text box, type your Hokies password.
- In the Retype Password: text box, retype your Hokies password.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Click OK.
- Click the Close button.
- Click the Close button.
- Start Outlook.
