Notes:
- Important: Send your request from the e-mail address to be used on the list. If you send your request from a return address that is an alias to your PID or an entirely different e-mail address, you will not be added to the list. LISTSERV will assume the request is coming from a different person.
- If you want to unsubscribe from a list, refer to Unsubscribing from a LISTSERV List (http://answers.vt.edu/kb/entry/173/).
To subscribe to a list:
- Access your e-mail.
- Address a new message to listserv@listserv.vt.edu.
- In the body of the message, type: subscribe [List Name] [First Name] [Last Name]
Note: Replace [List Name] with the name of the list to which you want to subscribe. Replace [First Name] and [Last Name] with your first and last name.
- Send the e-mail message.
Note: To view a list of LISTSERVs at Virginia Tech:
- Go to L-Soft's List search (http://www.lsoft.com/lists/list_q.html) Web site.
- Place a check in the Host name check box.
- In the Look for: text box, type: vt.edu
- Click the Start the search! button.
