• Important: Send your request from the e-mail address to be used on the list. If you send your request from a return address that is an alias to your PID or an entirely different e-mail address, you will not be added to the list. LISTSERV will assume the request is coming from a different person.

• If you want to unsubscribe from a list, refer to Unsubscribing from a LISTSERV List (http://answers.vt.edu/kb/entry/173/).

To subscribe to a list:

1. Access your e-mail.
2. Address a new message to listserv@listserv.vt.edu.
3. In the body of the message, type: subscribe [List Name] [First Name] [Last Name]
   Note:
   • Replace [List Name] with the name of the list to which you want to subscribe. Replace [First Name] [Last Name] with your first and last name.

4. Send the e-mail message.

•  To view a list of LISTSERVs at Virginia Tech, complete the following steps:
  1.  Go to L-Soft's List Search Web site.
  2.  Place a check in the Host Name check box.
  3. In the Look For text box, type: vt.edu
  4. Click the Start the Search! button.
