Sharing an Exchange Folder in Outlook 2003/2007

How do I share an Exchange folder such as my Calendar, Inbox, or Sent Items in Outlook 2003/2007?

Answer:

You will need to grant other users permission to access folders such as your Inbox, Calendar, and Sent Items.

  1. If your folder list is not open:
    1. Click on Go.
    2. Click on Folder List.
  2. Open your folder's properties.
    • In Outlook 2003, right-click the folder you want to share, and select Sharing.
    • In Outlook 2007, right-click the folder you want to share, and select Properties.
  3. Select the Permissions tab.
  4. Click on the Add... button.
  5. From the Name list, select the person to whom you want to assign access.
  6. Click on the Add... button.
  7. Click OK.
  8. From the Permission Level: drop-down list, select the level of access you want the person to have.
  9. Click Apply.
  10. Click OK.
