- Start OS X Mail.
- From the Mail menu, select Preferences....
- Click the Composing icon.
- Under Addressing:, place a check in the Automatically complete addresses check box.
- Click the Configure LDAP... link.
- Click the + or add sign.
- In the Name: text box, type: Virginia Tech LDAP
- In the Server: text box, type: directory.vt.edu
- In the Search Base text box, type: ou=people,dc=vt,dc=edu
- Click the Save button.
- Click the Done button.
- Close the Composing window.
- From the Mail menu, select Quit Mail.
