How do I perform a word count in Adobe Acrobat Professional for Windows?
Answer:
Adobe Acrobat Professional does not have the ability to perform a word count. You will need to save the file in Rich Text Format and open the file in Word to perform a word count. To do this:
  1. In Adobe Acrobat Professional, open the document.
  2. From the File drop-down list, select Save As....
  3. From the Save as type: drop-down list, select Rich Text Format (*.rtf).
  4. Click the Save button.
  5. Close Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  6. Start Word.
  7. Open the rich text file you just created.
  8. Select the Review tab.
  9. In the Proofing group, click the Word Count button.
