Important: Log on to Windows with an account with computer administrator privileges.
- Start Outlook.
In Outlook 2003:
- From the Tools menu, select E-mail Accounts....
- Select the Add a new directory or address book option.
- Click Next.
In Outlook 2007:
- From the Tools menu, select Account Settings....
- Select the Address Books tab.
- Click New....
- Select the Internet Directory Service (LDAP) option.
- Click Next.
- In the Server Name text box, type: directory.vt.edu
- Click the More Settings... button.
- Click OK.
- Select the Search tab.
- In Outlook 2007, under Search Base, select the Custom option.
- In the Search Base text box, type: ou=people,dc=vt,dc=edu
- Click OK.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Restart Outlook.
