To change the default font:
  1. Start Word.
  2. Navigate to the Font dialog box.
    • In Word 2003, from the Format drop-down list, select Font....
    • In Word 2007/2010/2013:
      1. Select the Home tab.
      2. To the right of the Font group heading, click the Font button.
  3. Use the appropriate list boxes to set the Font:, Font style:, and Size: you want as default.
  4. Set the selected font as default.
    • In 2003/2007, click the Default... button.
    • In 2010/2013, click the Set As Default button.
  5. Confirm the change.
    • In 2003/2007, click the Yes button.
    • In 2010/2013:
      1. Select the All documents based on the Normal template? radio button.
      2. Click OK.
