To display or hide your default desktop icons:

  1. Right-click on your desktop, and select Properties.
  2. Select the Desktop tab.
  3. Click the Customize Desktop button.
  4. Place a check in or clear each icon check box.
  5. Click OK.
  6. In the Display Properties window, click OK.
