Caution: By starting the Messenger service, you are making it possible for hackers and spammers to compromise your computer.

To start or stop Messenger service (Net Send):

  1. Go to your Administrative Tools settings:
  2. Double-click the Services icon.
  3. In the Name list, right-click Messenger and select Properties.
  4. Select the General tab.
  5. Start or stop the service.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Restart your computer.
